LA PLAYA
Es Portitxol is a cove with two swimming areas 1,5 km far from Faro de Favàrittx, just in the west of s'Escala. It is a rocky area with a flat zone behind the cove which is used as parking.
OBSERVACIONES
Our pictures correspond to the nearest swimming area where the cars can be parked. There is another area farther west but a more complicated access. We recommend footwear for swimming.

Car Park summer 2018
During the summer of 2018 you can not access the Favàritx Lighthouse road, it must be accessed only by bus from Mahón. Here the schedules and location of where they leave: https://goo.gl/kNp92U It will be a measure until you make the parking in the area. This beach is just the second beach to the left of the lighthouse.
Me 7 Road
Leave from Mahón by the Me-7 road towards Fornells.
Detour to Favàritx
After about 7,5 km follow the detour to Faro de Favàritx, which is perfectly signposted.
Park
Always continue along the main road for about 7 km. It is a narrow road with no verge. We will see more signs to the Lighthouse (Faro) but we won't reach it.Es Portitxol is about 7km away from the detour and there is a small clearing rgiht where lots of cars park. The cove is to scanty metres on our left.
